Cardinal backs Catholics suing movie producers...

Cardinal Francis Arinze is encouraing Catholics to file suit against those making the movie "The DaVinci Code"

He states:

"This is one of the fundamental human rights - that we should be respected, our religious beliefs respected, and our founder Jesus Christ respected. Those who blaspheme Christ and get away with it are exploiting the Christian readiness to forgive and to love even those who insult us. "
Oy vey.

Is the Cardinal afraid of people leaving the church? If one is a true Catholic and all-believing, then it doesn't matter. Is the Cardinal afraid of the Church getting a bad name? Please! Their coverup of of priests molesting children pretty much took care of that.

You have to ask yourself this:

Is it possible Jesus had a relationship with Mary Magdalene?

Is it possible she had a child?

Yes. I say that not because I'm anti-Christian (which by the way, I'm not). I say that because we have no scientific proof either way and so this makes it possible. Now This is where faith comes into play. Your faith will dictate that you cannot believe that and that's fine. But people have the right to ask these questions and explore these issues. And neither Christians, Catholics or anyone else has the right to stop them.

  1. Amen, sister. So many people who are screaming for their own rights really want to deny everybody else the right to disagree...

  3. Oy Vey is right. Speaking as one of the chosen people, I wonder if anyone at the Vatican has bothered to ask the ALMIGHTY what he thinks?

I think the DaVinci Code is blasphemous. I do not advocate sueing them. I advocate boycotting. Ultimately, they will answer to God and that is far worse than trying to harm them financially.--ST
